As we pray for those affected by the tornadoes in Oklahoma, I prayerfully considered about what to share with you today. My thoughts turned to how our God is our shelter and strength; that when our lives look bare, broken, and full of pain, He is our everything. Please continue to pray for all those who have lost family members and friends, their homes, schools, and livelihoods. I pray that they will know God’s all sufficient grace, love, and power at this very difficult time.
‘Keep close watch over me as the apple of Your eye;
shelter me in the shadow of Your wings.’
Psalm 17:8 The Voice
‘The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.’
Psalm 9:9 NLT
Please join me in prayer:
As I seek to fully surrender to Your holy ways, I am reminded that You are my shelter and my strength. For whatever happens today or tomorrow I know that You are right by my side. Please help me lay that truth deep into my heart and mind that I have nothing to fear, as You are there. Thank You that Your love surrounds me, an ever present help, and my guide.
